It is connected to the breather horn and the O2 sensor is wrapped.

The HHO generators I’ve seen online are little more than snake oil. It is not the proper method of hydrolysis for creating hydrogen gas. Even if the gas were produced, the energy required exceeds that which could be gained through burning the hydrogen. Otherwise you could use the hydrogen to create energy to run the car and create more hydrogen, essentially greater than 100% efficient which is impossible. If anything, the power required to run the HHO generator is creating a higher load on the engine than before, you are using energy to carry the added junk around, and in the end pumping water vapor, not hydrogen gas into the engine. Get rid of it and your engine will thank you. Losing the added weight and electrical load will improve you mileage.

I’ve checked out several systems installed by friends, and installed a ScanGauge to monitor fuel consumption. They have bragged about the incredible mileage the HHO has created. As a blind test, I’ve disabled the system and driven the same course. The driver didn’t know whether the HHO was on or not. Fuel consumption with the system disabled does not change. Turning it back on again does not improve either. At best it’s just a waste of time. Ultimately you’re pumping water vapor into the engine, dragging around useless junk, and losing money on something which simply doesn’t work.

I’ve gained at least 20% extra fuel mileage simply by changing driving style. Ease off the gas pedal, drive the speed limit, don’t accelerating quickly and you’ll notice a difference. I suspect the HHO folk are doing the same sort of thing, driving more efficiently, and mistakenly crediting the wrong thing.

If I put Photovoltaic panels on the roof of the car, and a deep cycle battery in the trunk with a plug-in charger, would it be realistically possible to make a sort of “Home made Hybrid?” Is there a limit to the ratio of HHo to gasoline that I can burn without damaging the valves, etcetera? Anyone out there trying to do something along these lines?

Then you wasted your money. HHO is just a scam that does nothing to help your fuel economy.

Yes.
There are different types of HHO generators… most people build their own. Anyway, I've tripled my gas mileage.

Don't pay any attention to these people who say it can't be done. Sure the end results can be argued to death - but the fact is that HHO will combust in your engine and will reduce gas mileage. Anyone who says it can't - they haven't tried it and apparently lack the education.
(Yes, it take more electricity to make it than you get in return; BUT your not using it alone. You use it as a gasoline/HHO hybrid. The gasoline supplies the friction that charges the battery. You won't run your car off HHO alone, but it will increase MPG by reducing the need for the same amounts of gasoline to achieve the same speeds/distance traveled)

If you are really interested I recommend you construct a simple generator and test it out for yourself. You can easily find plans and instructions on youtube or other sites out there WITHOUT having to pay some bogus price just to get info on the very simple process.
Go for it, you've got nothing to lose but time.

Cell was made from 12 stainless steel plates, baking soda was added to water. Disconnected rubber hose from intake manifold, drilled a hole in the intake manifold rubber hose(just after the airfilter), Put hydrogen hose into manifold. Hooked HHO wires up to car battery(just held them there, to test). 14guage, 20 amp wire, also a 40amp fuse was used on the hydrogen generator. After I hooked it up, it sounded fine. I didnt proceed to hook the generator up. I test drove the car without the HHO and immediately at 3000 rpms the car would sputter and wouldnt go over 3000rpms. I tried to reset the computer by unhooking the neg. battery terminal, I checked the O2 sensors, they looked fine. I dont think there is a leak in the vacuum but will be getting carb cleaner to check. Thanks for your help. -Jacqueline

sounds like while you were working you may have disconnected a hose or wire

We have a diesel Excursion I am interested in trying an HHO system in. Does anyone have some thoughts on this?

We're in the Houston area, so if you know of a mechanic who would be willing to preform this service, please let me know.

What company have you purchased your system from? Were you happy with the product?

Or, did you just build it yourself?

Hi, I have been reading up on the HHO system and it claims to work on all gas or diesel powered cars, trucks, and SUV's. It might be quite expensive to have a mechanic perform the service for you. Why not just buy the manual and do it yourself? It might save you a lot of money.

Just to let you know, my brother's in-law has put one of these conversion kits on his car and he took it on a road trip and averaged 89 miles per gallon! Simply amazing, if you ask me! So, it does work. Don't listen to all the negativity!

Another thing, I have a family member that is going to WyoTech (it is an automotive school) and he is putting one on his vehicle right now. He says that it is working so far.

Hope this has helped in some way. Good luck!

I was wondering what it takes to build a HHO generator I cannot find a FREE guid anywhere. And also if it will work on fuel injected vehicals, a 2000 Jetta GLS to be exact.

It can be difficult to find a free plan that will work well, but they are out there. One source is www.fuel-efficient-vehicles.org , you can also google free plans hho generator. There are several resources on utube as well. Do your research before building one because some designs do not work well. The theory is strong and works, just be informed.
Since 1834 there have been over 200 patents on HHO generators, in Europe, Australia, and in the US there are many large companies that use these, not just for fleet cars but for big rigs, ferries, buses, etc. If it were a scam these large companies would not be using the device paying millions to convert to HHO hybrid. There have been several people who have thier car run exclusively on HHO. In the 1940's (or 30's can't remember) the Pogue carborator was sold to a car manufacturer, the design ran a car off 100% tap water.
It will work on every petro/LPG/diesel vehicle including your Jetta. Building the basic device is fairly simple, the kind of electrolyte you use and the type of plates you use will effect your outcome. Newer vehicles with oxy sensors and a computer will need to be modified for the air mix or you'll actually loose mileage. Simple solution but needed for optimum mpg gain. Find a plan that addresses fuel injection vehicles (in Europe they have done Jetta's).
Good luck and keep in mind that you may have to make some minor changes etc. to get the best results for your car. Become fully educated so you'll know how to increase MPG's using the generator.

Good luck…

If he really could turn water into fuel so easily why would he be selling kits to do it? Doesn't it make more sense that he'd be buying out Bill Gates and on the cover of every magazine?
